String Quartet Discovery Camp 
Summer 2025 

Join Us for an Unforgettable Experience! The String Quartet Discovery Camp offers a week of creativity and musical exploration. Our camp is the perfect place for students to connect with other string players, learn new skills, and perform in a small chamber ensemble. This camp is best suited for student violinists, violists, and cellists ages 8-19 who have limited or no experience playing in a string quartet.

Camp Dates

Session 1: June 16 - June 20

Time: 9:30am-12:30pm Daily

End of Camp Performance: June 20 @ 5:30pm

 

Location:

Metropolitan Conservatory @ 11806 Quivira Rd, Overland Park, KS 66210​Cost$250 per student (after April 1st)**Early bird rate : $200 (before March 31st)

 

Activities

Coaching: Tailored instruction by experienced teaching artists in a small ensemble setting

Learning Small Ensemble Music: Opportunity to play in a small ensemble

Community Performance: End of week performance open to the public

Camp Policy: Tuition is one time per session with payment due on the date of the first rehearsal. A calendar of rehearsals and performances will be distributed by the instructor. No refunds or make ups will be given for rehearsals or performances missed by students.​
Photo/Video Release: The Metropolitan Conservatory often photographs recitals and special events. To participate in events, all students/guardians must consent to use of photos or videos on the MC website and/or print materials.
